I am a self employed carpenter, painter, and handyman with a range of experience in many areas, with more than 30 years in the field and more than 20 years giving TLC to Baltimore's older homes. I strive for excellence in customer service, promptness, cleanliness, communication skills, and attention to detail. Experience with standard building practices as well as "green" building, even log cabin and timber frame construction, but small "honey-do list" projects are a welcome part of my business.
Skills includes frame and trim carpentry, drywall and plaster repair, painting and staining, fence building, fish pond construction, and tile. Also some light electric, roofing, flooring, rotted woodwork repair, pressure washing, landscaping, door and lock troubleshooting, caulking, picture hanging, and other minor repairs of many types. I leave most electrical, masonry, and plumbing repairs, floor refinishing, and opening load bearing walls to the experts, however. There are also certain specific jobs I typically decline due to chronic neck pain: installing crown molding, installing garbage disposals, major ceiling repairs, and ceiling insulation. I also avoid paint stripping and fiberglass insulation.
I am insured and hold a license from the Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC# 110079).
I prefer to work in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.
